Former prime minister can apply for bail at a lower court, the Supreme Court says, amid widespread protests over his detention

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—The country’s top court ruled former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s arrest unlawful on Thursday but stopped short of ordering his release, the latest twist in an episode that has triggered violent protests and the deployment of the army.
